Young Durham player Cameron Anderson has been in fantastic form as of late, leaping up the Durham Superleague Averages with his team Easington Colliery and pushing for a top 10 slot.
Last night at the Shotton Comrades Xmas Open he continued his fine form and went all the way to take the title, defeating some top players in the process.
On his route to the final he defeated Den Orpen 2-0 in a prelim before whitewashing Rob Wild and Dave Prins 2-0.
Moving onto the quarters he despatched Will Chaplow 3-1 and Jeff Harrison 3-0 in the semi finals. Up against Ian Whittaker in the final with the format best of 5, he once again showed his class and took the win with a 3-1 scoreline.
