The young man from Bedlington will be taking on Austria’s Mensur Suljovic this evening in Glasgow in the first round of the World Series of Darts Finals.
Chris qualified for the finals in early October, beating some top players to do so. He beat in form dutch player, Ron Meulenkamp 5-3 in the last 128, before winning a decider against Vincent Kamphuis 5-4 in the last 64. He went on again to win 2 final leg deciders despatching Alan Norris 5-4 and Jeffrey De Zwaan 5-4, to qualify outright for the finals.
The top eight players from the seven World Series events of 2017 are seeded for this tournament (with the exception of Phil Taylor, who declined his invite for the tournament).
In addition, four players were invited as international invitations, as were the next four highest ranked players from the PDC Order of Merit following the 2017 World Grand Prix on 9 October 2017. Another eight places were awarded in a qualifying event that took place in Barnsley on 9 October 2017.
