Number One Dobey Does IT AGAIN

On Thursday evening we came to the end of a fantastic 8 week competition at the Whitehouse in Ashington. The 32 qualifiers with 15 outright qualifiers and 17 points qualifiers battled it out for the title along with taking a chunk of the £1750 prize fund on offer.

The 16 seeds (top of the points list made up the final seed) played out against the 16 points qualifiers in the first round, then it was an FA Cup style draw right down to the semi finals.

We saw a host of PDC players, Internationals and county players on show, making it a great watch for the spectators.

In the end, it came down to Adam Hunt and Gordon Dobey in the final. A total of 2 180s and 4 140s from the youngster wasn’t enough to beat the number one Dobey and  Gordon once again showed his class and came out on top 5-3 to take top prize.  Adam had a an average of 28.4 and Gordon 28.9.
