The first darts open was held at the fantastic Sky Lounge in Washington on Saturday 27th January attracting many people from around the North-East. A total of 118 entries took part on the day, with one man winning 7 games to be crowned champion.
From start to finish, Andy Lynn produced great darts and only dropped 4 legs all day. He whitewashed I Harrison and A Jordan in the opening rounds before going down to a decider in the third round against Gerry Hall, narrowly edging him out 3-2.
He then continued his fine form once again whitewashing two people off the belt, to comfortably move into the semi finals. Andy came up against a tricky customer in Chris Vaughan but moved into the final with a 4-1 scoreline.
After a long day of darts, he met good friend Ian Gleeson in the final and he stormed through the match only dropped one leg and winning the open in style, 5-1.
Congrats Andy.
