The LWC Cameron’s Darts Open took place on Bank Holiday Monday at Easington Colliery Club and featured a Mens, Ladies and Youth competitions.

All fields were strong and boasted some of the best players in the area along with BDO/PDC players from afar.

Carl ‘The Jackal’ Hamilton overcame ‘Supa Mc’, Kevin McDine in the mens final 7-5 with a fantastic comeback. Hamilton was 3-0 down to McDine but won the next four legs without reply to take the lead. He then held his nerve to guarantee the win in the best of 13 match.

En route to the final Carl saw off R.Murray, K.Wright, B.Ashurst & A.Jennings. Kevin defeated D.Prins, T.Wood, R.Wild, J.Teal & S.Waites.

‘Northern Star’, Linda Ithurralde was crowned Ladies champion defeating Tyne & Wear County player, Laura Patton 3-0.

In the youth, 12 year old George Ripley defeated Michael Wright to take the youth title.
