Gradwell wins Seahorse 8 Week Competition

The Seahorse Club in Whitley Bay 8 Week Competition concluded on Friday evening with the 16 qualifiers battling out for a chunk of the £1,300 prize fund.

David Gradwell fought through a tough field and defeated PDC player Ryan Joyce in the final to be crowned the Seahorse 8 Week 2018 champion.

En route to the final he whitewashed Steve Adams, before edging past Mark Stephenson 4-2.

He went up against Kevin McDine in the semis and produced some great finishing with his back against the wall to set up a final against ‘Relentless’, Ryan Joyce.

The final lived up to the expectations in a 10 leg thriller, with Gradwell winning 6-4 on the night with a 29.51 average.

Fantastically ran competition from Andrew Cochrane and friends.
