Easter Weekend Round Up

On Saturday 31st March, Kevin McDine was victorious in the Northumberland Open Singles defeating PDC player Ryan Joyce in the final by 3 sets to 2.

Supa Mc recorded an average of 111 in the semi final against Callan Rydz to set up the final and carried on his fine form by taking the title.

The Deka Kennedy Memorial took place on Easter Monday at the Teams Club, Gateshead with a fantastic turn out of 83 entries in the mens competition. The day also consisted of a Ladies competition and an u18 Youth competition as well.

Ryan Joyce went one better than the Northumberland Open and took the title, defeating Andy Chalmers 5-2 in the final.

Joyce defeated G. Murray, D. Pipe and R. Foreman en route to the quarter finals where he beat youngster Cameron Anderson to advance into the semi finals against K. McDine, where he won 3-1 to set up a final against fellow Tyne & Wear County player Andy Chalmers.

Also, would like to mention a fantastic run for 18 year old Durham County player Cameron Anderson who beat Billy Robson, Paul Williams, Davy Richardson and Ian Gleeson en route to the Quarter finals where he was eventually beaten by the winner, Ryan Joyce.

Cameron did taste success on the day winning the u18 youth competition defeating Joe Stobbart in the final.

In the ladies final, Julie Thompson defeated Maureen Purvis.
